Conscious Corner Episode 1 – Sustaining Students: Minority Student Recruitment and Retention over the Years

Within the last 20 years at the College of Charleston, the student population has increased and white students have typically held between 75% and 85% majority while the African American student population has declined. In this episode we speak with Zaylee Butler, a member of C40 and a Student Ambassador, to discuss how the terms “Diversity and Inclusion” are evident at the institution. Zaylee will be spearheading a YouTube talk show called “Poppin Politico” in the near future that focuses on all things trendy and political so keep an eye out for updates from her. You can follow Zaylee on IG @lilzayjr.
